Q. Why are you running for the Governor's Council?
A. It is time for a change in the District 2 Governor's Councillor. I have made my living in our judicial system for thirty-two years and it is time to give something back. I want to do my part in making sure my fellow citizens that appear in our courts only go before good judges. Our incumbent Governor's Councillor is not doing the job of representing us properly. When our elected Councillor does not attend the meetings we do not have the representation needed to protect us from bad judges.
Q. What is the Governor's Council?
A. Its one of the oldest elected bodies in the United States. Its primary duty is to confirm judges to our judicial system. The governor nominates someone to be a judge and they have to get a majority of votes of the Governor's Council to get confirmed.
Q. What are your qualifications for the position?
A. I have been a trial attorney for the last thirty-two years and have appeared in every court in the Commonwealth over seven thousand times before Judges and Clerk-Magistrates. No candidate running has more experience in dealing with Judges and Clerk-Magistrates. I am dedicated and passionate about our judicial system.
Q. What will you do if elected?
A. I will attend and participate at the meetings. I will never be a rubber stamp for the Governor. I will always respect the law and the citizens of District 2. I will , as best I can, advise the public as to when confirmation hearings are taking place. I will move to have the hearings televised. I will always act in a manner that brings respect on the office I hold and maintain my self respect.
